Following on from my earlier posting:

Does anyone know where I can get a cable splitter from?

Specifically, I need a device that will allow me to attach a second cable to the brake cable from an Ergopower lever, so that the one cable operates both brakes. I'm not dreaming: I used to have one years ago, but now I can't find the damn thing!

IIRC, triathletes used to use these so that they could have a third brake lever on the tri-bars and could brake without changing position.

Also, twin-carb motorcycles use a similar device, so that the throttle cable can operate both carburettors. However, the cable gauge is too fine and the nipple seating too small to use brake cables with them.

Any information, advice, pointers would be gratefully received...

I have got one of this device from my LBS quite a number of years ago. It is from Profile, and if I remember correctly, called Brake 2.

See if you could find it through the internet. Wish you good luck.

Thanks LaBicci -- using the "Profile" name I was able to find it!

A snip at £25... !
