  1. I'm looking for database which can give me information about
    calorie/nutritional content of
foods. I'm talking about dishes here not just some component of one.
So I would like to find calorie/nutritional info on lets say ham and swiss
    sandwich
not just ham or just swiss cheese.

    thanks for any suggestions.

If you are too busy to do it by ingredients you might try a place like

    http://www.nutritiondata.com/foods-ham%20and%20swiss%20cheese%20sandwich000000000000000000000.html

But you might not get a sandwich with the exact same ingredients you want. Why
don't you just do by ingredients - it would be much more accurate.

  3. With the download version of Fitday you can make a custom food which has all
the ingredients and quantities. After that, you can log the food item
    quickly.

I have no connection to Fitday, except as a download customer.

I is best to actually weigh the ingredients on a digital scale in order to
    have some accuracy.
