Hi - what is the ideal length of the bottom bracket spindle for an "older"
version 10-speed Chorus crankset, the standard 102mm? (i think this crankset
is roughly 3 years old)

Thanks for any help!

Older ? Like the ten year old one on my winter bike.

Double = 102
Triple = 111 (but only the Chorus/Record version.

I believe that the original spindle in pre cartridge bb was 114. I've
used 111 ISO w/o problem. I'd guess that 115.5 ISO would also be ok.
And, to commit sin, I've used a 107 JIS.

Paul:

He's talking 10 speed. Was never 114, 107.7 nor 115.5! 10 speed
Chorus/Record Double = 102, Triple = asymmetric 111.
