I'm a 50 year old recreational road cyclist who has been cycling for 6 year now and I'm looking for advice on converting my Campy Centaur triple chainring setup (30/40/50) with a 13-29 (13-17,19,21,23,26,29) cassette to a compact double setup on my Merlin Cyrene titanium bicycle. I'm converting for the main reason that shifting with a double cassette setup is much smoother and less troublesome. My issue is that I'm not a good climer, so when I hit the hills, I'm most of the time in my 30x29 gear. I've been looking at the new 11-32 10-speed cassette from SRAM and was thing of going SRAM FORCE with a compact double of 50/34. Now i hear that although the 11-32 cassette is great on hilly terrain, even small changes in speed on flat terrains create the need for shifting of the front chainrings and double or triple shifts at the rear due to the large gaps in the 11-32 config (11-12-13-15-17-19-22-25-28-32). I'm not sure what this means to me because I usually shift alot anyways. So, I'm looking for advice. Anyone have experience with the 10-speed 11-32 cassette on various terrains? SRAM also has the 12-32 10-speed cassette (12-13-14-15-16-17-19-21-24-32). Thanks/img/vbsmilies/smilies/smile.gif Michael
