hi all-
a friend of mine has a nice 1995 gianni motta frame with campy 8 spd drive train. she wants to to upgrade to 10 speed. i've heard that there is a way to upgrade the brake/shifter internals so that you don't need new levers. these are the combination brake/shifter style [like shimano sti]
also, is the old 8 spd hub spacing the same as the new 10 spd? will a new cassette fit on her old wheels? anyone have experience upgrading the shifters? any source for the shifter parts? thanks very much

cannot upgrade pre 1999 levers to 10s, convert to 9s only for 1992 thru
1997 ERGO. Rear hubs of today are different but the 1995 hub can be
converted with a new freehub body to 10s.

So ya need, as long as the rear derailleur is worn out
-10s shifter set, like Veloce or above
-convert the rear hub freehub
-10s cogset and chain

NO need to do anything to crank/rings, etc...
