I pulled my campy bottom bracket apart to clean it out the other day (there was all kinds of crud in there?), and was puting it back together tonight when I saw a little "c" stamped on one of the corners of the square axel. I assumed it meant to orientate the crankarm to that location but I wonder if it makes a difference? It's a '06 record. Thanks.

It doesn't make a difference.

No difference , probably to differentiate between high-end component production in Italy from Kinex in Slovakia.
