There were a number of earlier Campy aero brake levers, but they all
pretty much looked alike with the exception of hood color (some black,
some white). They all had aluminum levers. The older versions are no
longer made and are becoming hard to find, though you may be able to
locate them on eBay. IMHO, they are not very well-designed; the hoods
don't seem to fit the lever bodies as well as they should.

The current Campy aero brake lever users the Record Ergo body and lever
and hood--they just leave out the mechanism for the shifter.

If you like that shape, but prefer an alloy lever, Tektro has copied
the shape and you can purchase the lever from Kogswell cycles
(www.kogswell.com) or Cane Creek, which sells it under its own name.

"Aero" means that the cables are concealed under the bar wrap, instead
of rising out of the back of the levers in loops. "Ergo," in this
case, is short for "Ergopower," Campy's integrated brake/shifters
(roughly equivalent to Shimano STI).
