Okay, I asked a similar question a number of weeks back about which
removable link to use for my Campy ultra-narrow 10 speed chain, but let me
ask this related question to confirm what I think is correct.
I have a new Campy record ultra-narrow crank/chainrings, cogset, and chain.
If I understand correctly, the ultra-narrow campy is now essentially the
same width as the Shimano 10 speed (although the older Campy 10 speed ws
wider),
so if I want to buy an aftermarket chain
like the Wipperman, I really want the Shimano version (10S1), which seems to
be 6.05 mm wide instead of the Campy version (10X1), which seems to be 6.2
mm wide and spaced for the original Campy 10 speed?
Before I go and order the wrong thing, could someone tell me if the above is
correct? If so, why aren't any of the major on-line places explaining this?
The ultra-narrow campy chains are now a few years old, correct?
