I got an old pair of campy veloce 9 speed shifters (pointed hoods) and i have a new veloche 9 speed cassette, will this work? dident campy change the pull ratio?

You can make it work by swapping out the ratchet ring for the newer 9s version. Branford Bike has the parts:

As long as you have the same vintage rear derailleur it will work fine. Campy changed the pull ratio on the shifters but did not change the spacing on the cassette.
