My dad bought some property in Minnesota and when we got there we found a bunch of goodies around in the woods. We pulled this bike out of the bushes. It has some interesting stickers on it, olympic markings and also Kettler on the front. I dont know all that much about bikes but i thought i was really neat and would like to know if anyone out there has any information about it. there are some pictures i just took, it really doesnt do it justice, like i said we pulled it out of the bushes. Any information would be great, thanks!

It was ridden to a gold medal by Fritz Gerstaedlmeir in the 1936 Peking Olympic Games.

You have a 1970's Kettler Bonanza Euro banana/chopper bike...or what's left of one. It's very likely a rare bike, but in the condition shown in your pictures it would be a 'parts bike' or difficult and expensive restoration.

You should get parts from any bike's market anywhere in the world. If you like antiques then you should surely restore this bike :)

"where could i find parts? Germany?"

It's very likely that new condition OEM parts are not available.

You can contact Kettler USA: http://www.kettlerusa.com/

A better bet might be to search eBay, yard sales, Craigslist, local bike restorers/sellers for either parts or a complete bike in better condition.
