If the rim's label doesn't indicate the bead-to-bead size (
e.g.,
622-13 ... sometimes the label has misinformation, BTW),
then
you need to remove the tire and physically measure it if it is something that you need-or-want to know.
Here's a picture of an AMBROSIO EXCELLENCE rim which was
borrowed from another thread which you can use for reference. The bead-to-bead size for the particular rim is
13mm.
If the bead-to-bead size isn't meaningfully narrower than the tire's theoretical size, then the tire will squat down inside the well of the rim ... it might be
gangsta looking, but that's generally not a good thing for a bicycle tire.
If the bead-to-bead (and, overall rim width) is too narrow for a tire (that's
very subjective ... you can fit a 700x32 tire in a 622-13 rim, but ... ) then it is generally difficult to insert & remove the wheel from the frame/fork due to the brake pads, themselves, needing to clear the tire.
