Can I use Shimano 105 front derailleur with Sora double crankset

Hi,
I have Shimano Sora equiped bike (8 speed).
Can I use Shimano 105 front derailleur with Sora double crankset and
8 speed sora rear derailleur?

Any information is appreciated.

yessir, w/o problem, even the so called '9s' 105 front derailleur.

As others have said, yes. But you may want to use an "8 speed" front
derailleur. The 8 speed model may have more space between the cages
than the 9 speed model. I recently replaced the front derailleur on my
7 speed half step plus granny touring bike. I used an 8 speed Sora
double cage instead of a 9 speed 105 double cage because it looked to
me like the cages were farther apart on the 8 speed Sora. For the
wider 7 speed chain I liked this so there might be less front
derailleur trimming and chain rubbing.
