Can someone help an absolute beginnner?

Hi guys,<br /><br />Hopefully someone can help me out. I've just moved back to Perth and want to get involved in track cycling. Problem is, I don't know the first place to start. Do I just head out to the velodrome and hire a bike and start riding? Find a coach? Anyone got any advice that might help me?<br /><br />Thanks.

Do you own a track bike? <br /><br />btw - welcome to the forum<br /><br />cheers!
