Hello,

I'm kinda new in the bicycling world and finally I'm ready to get the good bikes :)
So a long story short; I was offered to get two bicycles from one guy for $1600.
Below is a detailed list of the bikes I'm getting.
My Question is - Is this a good price for those bikes?
Should I get them now or wait for a better deal.
$1000 for the mountain bike and $600 for the road bike but I have to get them together.

Thank you very much in advance for your suggestion and recomendations.

Mountain Bike Details:
The mountain bike is a 2003 Weyless SP with Manitou QL rear shock with lock out
Front fork is an Answer Black with travel adjust from 80mm to 100mm, rebound control and lock out. The fork is brand new.
Headset is a WTB sealed bearing headset, brand new
Stem is a Weyless M-8, used only a few times
Handlebars are Weyless Carbon CX-2 riser bars used only on a dozen or so rides.
Shifters are 2004 SRAM Attack triggers, brand new
Brake levers are SRAM 9.0sl, brand new
Brakes are HAYES mechanical disc brakes, brand new
Wheels are TUNE sealed cartridge disc wheels from Europe. They're super light, but the front rim is a newer Mavic disc only rim and the rear rim is the original Tune rim. They are both black and look the same. This wheelset is in good shape but has the most use out of any part on the bike. The rear hub has new sealed cartridge bearings.
Cranks are XT cranks used a dozen times
Front derailleur is an XT derailleur used a dozen times
Rear derailleur is an XT derailleur brand new.
Tires are IRC Mythos used only a dozen times
Seat post is a Weyless alloy
Seat is a WTB, brand new
Pedals are Weyless platform pedals

Road Bike Details:
frame: Scattante XRL 60cm
fork: Weyless carbon w/ alloy steerer
stem: Weyless alloy
bars: Weyless R-2
Shifters: Shimano 105
Front Derailleur: Shimano 105
Rear Derailleur: Shimano 105
Brakes: Tektro dual pivot w/ cartridge brake pads
Cranks: Truvativ Elita
BB: Truvativ ISIS Splined
Seatpost: Weyless Forged
Seat: Velo
Tires: Kenda Koncept Kevlar bead
Wheels: Formula hubs w/ Alex 450 rims.

hey man, i think you'll be getting your money's worth,imagine,$1600 for two bikes! stretch your bucks,go for it, i think it's a bargain.

Assuming both are in good shape, it's a good deal. FIT IS CRITICAL!!! Not so much on the mountain bike but make sure you're comfortable on the road bike or you'll pay the price! :)

Thanks for all of your replies!
I feel more confident now.

The sizes of both bikes are good.

If you don't need or want two bikes then it is not a good deal. However, if that is your requirements, then sounds good.
