My front derailer gets stuck when trying to shift up to the big crank. Tried adjusting H and L screws.

Maybe it's a cable tension problem?
What gear you're in at the back can also be a problem. i.e. if you're in the big cog at the back, shifting to the large chainring can be problematic, as it's stretching things as far as they can go.

Thought about that. But, don't think so. I tightened the cable on the small chainring think it would be enough, but it still doesn't want to kick over and index. Riding into the LBS this morning and will watch what they do to correct it.
