true, but am i the only one that's more reluctant to pay for intangibles like software and other intellectual property than pysical stuff. i've kinda gotten over that since my job moved more into the software world, but many persist.

i dont think anyone writes technical books to get rich, because when you break it down the royalties on sales to a niche market dont amount to much. harry potter and the like are different propositions!
