Cannondale CAAD9 6 2009 vs. Specialized Allez Comp Apex 2012

Hi,

I'm fairly new to cycling and I want to buy a decent first bike. Since I've only got 1,000$, I chose to buy a used one.

My choices are a used CAAD 9 6 2009 and a new Specialized Allez Comp Apex 2012. Both are 950$, is this a reasonable price?
I heard that the main difference is the Sram and the 105. Is there any more thing that I should know?
