Cannondale R4000 opinions?

I have the chance to buy a Cannondale R4000 with a Stars & Stripes paint job (mainly red with the rear triangle blue fade with white stars) and was wondering what peoples opinions were? It has a Cannondale Slice fork in red and black.
I am also not sure what year this bike would be but thinking 1999-2001?
It has Ultegra 9speed and Mavic Krysium Elite wheels.
It is a large upgrade for me as I have a 2.8 Cannondale with 105 7 speed so I am pretty keen to move and it is also a 54cm which is the right size for me. I just want to get some thoughts/opinions as the bike is a great price but still a few $$ for me at the moment.

umm... I would buy it if the price was right, and the frame was clean and without excessive wear/scratches/chips. I love those bikes and have been keeping an eye out for one of those Stars and Stripes frames for a build I am planning. I hope that this helps.

Thanks for the info, the frame is in great condition and the star and stripes finish is brilliant . I am also interested in hearing how the R4000 rides as I cannot find much about it on the net.

Just a reference to a character from a Manga comic called "Blade of the Immortal" Very well drawn comic with a typical Japanese storyline.

Check the Cannondale archives, but I'm pretty sure this was a 2002 model to commemerate the 911 incident. If I'm not mistaken this is a CAAD 5 frame.

Sorry about being off topic, but that was my suspicion of it's origin. I have been a fan of that book for many years; cool username.
