My friend has a four week old T2000, it's spent more time in the bike shop being repaired than he has had it at home. He has finally got it working ok and loves it now.

I was wanting a T2000 this year but could not get one so I bought a lightweight tourer, Giant OCR2 but in about three years time I will get one of the bikes listed.

You might want to look at the Trek 520, Fuji or Mongoose. I like the Cannondale but Cannondale Australia are not that supportive to faults that occur on there bikes which makes me favour the other brands at this stage. I have plenty of time to make a decision. Do a search on cyclingforums.com, they get a pretty good report from people.

I rode a Canondale t1000 for 10 years, thought it was wonderful. Then I
bought an XTC from St Johns Street cycles and realised how much better a
steel frame is for touring! My current recommendation would be a Rohloff
equipped Raven from the same source.
