Do the newer type canti-brakes (tektro oryx/avid shorty/shimano br-r550)
have an advantage over the older low profile type canti-brakes?

_ The newer ones have two advantages.

1. They aren't as wide to avoid problems clearance
problems with panniers and clipping your heels.

2. Easier ( IMHO ) to adjust with threaded ball and socket
v-brake type pads.
