    Above is all in grams. Taken from an encyclopedia published in 1987. Reading was done in Novemember
    of each year.

    That is interesting but it is not overly usefull out of context like that. I would be interested in
    comparing this data with obesity trends as well as what percent of the carbs are sugars and high
    fructose corn syrup and other refined carbs.

    This is what I can give

    From 1955-1984

    Number of heart related deaths per 100,000

    Accodring to my data. Heart related death was outside of the "top 4 killer disease in Japan".

    Obesity doesnt seem to have gone up, it actually looks like it went down. I will post this later

    I will post a bit later. Data seems very interesing.
