Is there a special UVA or UVB sun protector to use on a carbon fibre frame? Or, any old wax will do?

Any old wax will do. Whatever UV inhibitor is needed is (hopefully) built into either the epoxy that
binds everything together, or the paint.

Calfee recommends 303 protectant for their 'nude' carbon bikes.

If your bike has a finish on it, often the finish has UV inhibitors in it. Ask the manufacturer or
importer of your bike.
