i recently got my first road bike and fell in love with bike riding again. i wanted to upgrade the fork to a carbon one but i dont know what the rake size/length is. i noticed most are either 43mm or 45mm. will it make a huge difference if i was to get the wrong size? i have an 02 KHS Flite 300. thanks.

I know I have a Bontrager Carbon fork off of a 2006 Trek 5000 that I'd be willing to get rid of if the price was right...

2mm of rake makes virtually no difference compared to other parameters, such as blade shape/design, steerer material, and probably blade length.

In my opinion, the only time you'd notice 2mm of rake difference is when comparing identical forks.

I've noticed more handling differences when changing a stem by 10mm! :)
