  1. Can you help me with what I should ask my MT to do for me?

    1. My neck hurts with pain down into the space between my
    spine and my scapula.

    2. I have a herniated lumbar disc.

    3. My butt hurts on one side.

    4. My hip hurts and my hamstring hurts on one side; my
hamstrings are way too tight on both legs.

    5. I've got sciatica on the same side as #3 and #4.

    6. I've got adductor problems on both sides/hips/inner thigh
    muscles (thanks Tiffany).

As a follow up to the groin thread, do I ask for psoas work
or do I tell my MT that I have adductor problems?

    Thanks,

    Marty

  2. I was see a Rolfer for this combination of imbalances
in as much as a massage therapist is fairly limited in ability for
corrective action. As far as the disk damage, only a Neurosurgeon would be
able to fully correct this area,
and if you are lucky enogh to find an Osteopath who does adjustments or even
a cranial osteopath , you would be well on the way to a full healing
    process.

  3. I think you are painting with a broad brush here: "a massage
therapist is fairly limited in ability for corrective
action." Many MT's are more than qualified to treat the
    conditions described.
