  1. Hi. I am new to cycling and I have a question about changing the cassette on my bike. I just bought a Trek OCLV 5500 and it has a Dura-Ace HyperGlide 8 speed 12-21 TI cassette. I want to go with a 11-23 cassette. Will it interchange?

1 more question. My bike has HED. JET wheels with a carbon skin or valance. How do you check tire pressure? They have an aluminum extension that screws on to inflate but It doesn't look like you can check pressure with them.
    Any help?

If it is 8-speed, it will interchange fine. A 9s or 10s cassette will fit on the wheel but will not index properly with your shifters. Changing the bike to accomodate 9s or 10s would require new shifters, chain, and cassette.

High-pressure tires such as what you have on your bike should be checked for pressure and usually need to be inflated before every ride. I find the easiest way to check is with a pump with built in gauge.
