Can anyone tell me if a cordless 3 sensor will work with a cordless 2 head unit?

The instructions that came with my 3 say that this is a different part number than the 2 sensor. It doesn't explicitly say that they won't work together, but they seem to think its important to mention the difference, so I would guess they are not compatible.
