Looking to upgrade the ride in the next couple of months and was curious to know if anyone out there had any advice in regards to the two models mentioned in the title. I mostly ride crits, but am a huge fan of the hills so I was curious to know which would be the most beneficial in the long run.

Do you mean SLC01? If so, I would opt for SLC01. There are many Soloist being around. They are quite heavy - compared to SLC01.

I don't think BMC SLC01 and Cervelo Soloist Team are in the same price range. In fact, the SLC01 is much more expensive than the Soloist Team, but there *is* BMC SL 01 which is an aluminum frame with carbon back and weighs slightly heavier (~100g) than, but costs slightly less (~100USD) than, the Soloist Team.

If I were in jasper's position I would go for the Soloist Team, but I'm a happy Cervelo owner who couldn't be any happier with his R3, so obviously I'm biased. ;)

But seriously though, why don't you test ride them both if you can, and decide which suits you better?
