Scientific proof in a controlled experiment, that a monocoque (Kestrel) CF
frame does not stop *some* vibrations.
Well, there was a buzz from something that annoyed me. Turns out that the
buttons on the Elite bottle cage were loose, rattling. As there were two
cages, I plucked one, and then the other to see which one was guilty. The
buzz occurred when each one was plucked. But only one had loose buttons.
So, clear proof that the B-flat tone of one Elite cage is transmitted
directly to the other one, across the medium of the CF frame. I don't think
sympathetic harmonizing was driven this strongly through the air.
Hmmm ... Are there other notes with other cages ? This could be the start
of a landslide, if we get enough musicality going, to quash all claims of
better vibration damping in the magic stuff. Let's get some good
hemi-demi-semi quaver cages, too.
Warning : don't stick your Walkman (T) in a cage, either. Could turn out to
be an echo chamber. Good stuff for a rave, though.
