  1. Can some one tell me the differnces in the Shimano Chains ( Dura-ace XTR CN-7701 - 9 spd 116 links 304 Grams ) and ( Dore XT CN-HG93 - 9 spd 116 links 304 Grams ). This chain will be for my touring bike the bike takes 116 links and weights 27# + 230# for the rider
    Thanks Bud

  2. No one

  3. I did google both of these chain when you first posted. Not much info was found other than price and availability. I would only think that the Deore chain would be more durable but that is only a guess on my part. Dura Ace is Shimanos performance line and in my opinion performance and durability are two different features.

  4. Specs appear to be same except DA chain lists a plating that the Deore doesn't.

    - Zinc alloy plated inner and outer plates with chromizing treatment link pin

Chain finish is often a differentiator. In theory halps prevent corrosion. Both could be plated and only the DA has the "chromized" pin, or some other combination. As noted DA has to be differentiated in a premium way for marketing reasons, so it has "something" extra.

  5. Thank you
