hi ive just brought a apollo tdf100 from halfords.

the problem is that when riding the rear derail keeps "jumping"
(i.e the gears seam to get pulled forward (front of bike))

this happens almost ever rotation of the chain, but i cant replicate this if no pressure is being applied (i.e. not riding bike)

i feel the problem is may be a tight link on the chain

is the a way to remove the chain without taking the rear derail apart (i don't have any special tools)

or should i take the bike back

You need a chain breaker. They cost about $10 at the bike store. Or you can have them take it off for you and replace it.
