I know drivetrain wear is dependent on many factors, but generally how many miles can I expect
before needing to replace my chainrings and rear derailer pulleys? For reference: road bike, next to
no riding in the rain, Campy Record crank and rear derailer, 140-pound racer/rider who understands
shifting finesse and replaces his chain every 1500-2000 miles.
More specifically, what symptoms usually indicate that these parts need replacement? I'm not talking
about obvious shark-toothing, but more subtle cues (poor shifting, noise, chain wear, etc)?
As ever, thanks in advance.
