My girlfriend has a Dawes Discovery 701 with a Truvativ Elita triple chainset - unfortunately it suffers from two problems: 1) The large chainring is slightly bent 2) The chain periodically gets stuck between the middle and small chainring
So, we're thinking of getting a new chainset. Would I be right in saying that we can't just stick a Tiagra triple on, because the BB is incompatible? Does anyone know of a £50-£80 triple chainset that would work ok? Or is it perhaps a better idea to replace the BB too?
The front derailleur is 105 band-on, and we've converted the straight bars to drops with Tiagra STI levers, if that makes any difference.

Bottom brackets are inexpensive. Probably easier to get the chainset and bottom bracket to match, than to find a chainset which will match her current, erm, one.
