I am the new owner of a Challenge Hurricane Lux. It is low, short,
and blue. Goes well with my Pursuit which is low, long, and blue.
Can anyone direct me to sites that are specific to the Challenge
Hurricane that happen to be in English? Thanks and thanks to those
who reponded to my Speedmachine/Toxy thread.

I would have suggested Yahoo but they don't appear to list any specific to
Challenge

Where did you buy it?

I have been looking at the Challenge Hurricane too. I not to found of the
aluminium frame. What model of Hurricane do you buy and what is it's curb
weight? How do you find climbing hills with it? What's the ride like?

I too tried the Speed Machine out. I had it a couple of weeks. The ride is
unbelievablely smooth. I found it faster then my V-Rex. I was having
problems getting used to the seat, but I am sure that it would get used to
it in time.

Only thing I didn't like about the Speed Machine I rode was it had the race
handlebars and I prefer the tiller, if it did have the tiller I would have
bought it on the spot

Racing in my dreams Earl. Fast approaching geezerhood the wattage
output of a small rodent do not equate to racing at this point. I
only have ridden my Pursuit around 4,000 miles this past year and that
is the only bent riding I have ever done. No racing around here
anyway and I can't see myself making the 1,500 mile drive to your
Chicago base to race. So I will probably just swap out those White
Industries hubs I got from you back and forth to the Challenge and see
if I pick up any speed. Hope so. If I do I will be cruising in the
20+ range.
With regard to other questions, I don't have the bike yet, it should
be here Friday and it is aluminum and blue and no Texas dealers that I
know of.
Franknspeed is the new Challenge distributor for the line in the USA.
Probably a good thing for us. You can find his website at:

I hope so, from what I've seen so far Challenge, M5 and Optima's dealers
here are pathetic as far as inventory
