  1. Last week saw the son of some friends leaving school (to go onto the
6th form college in the nearby town). The school does a
"prom"/leavers' do. All the pupils dress up in tuxedos/posh frocks
depending on sex and/or preference and arrive at the school in various
forms of transport to be whisked away by coach for the evening.

A couple of months ago his parents asked if I would deliver Ted (the
lad himself) on the Pino (new readers see here
    <http://ccgi.wildehobbs.plus.com/gallery2/main.php?g2_view=core.DownloadItem&g2_itemId=1896&g2_serialNumber=2>
for a picture of said Pino )

I wore a Polka dot jersey, with an AUK jacket and a rather fetching
cap bought from an army surplus stores for the occasion. (and a pair
of Ronhills). After working out how to tie a cravat, Ted hopped on
the front of the Pino and we set off, accompanied by Pete, his dad, on
his solo. The hat blew off as we approached the school but the Merc
behind stopped in time and Pete rescued it. We turned into the school
and Pete swung off. The drive was _lined_ with people and we joined
the queue of cars. It went something like: stretch limo, stretch limo,
pink stretch limo, beemer, stretch limo, PINO, stretch limo, beemer,
stretch limo. There was applause as we rode up, and the head teacher
declared we had style. All the way up the drive, turn round then back
down the drive and drop off Ted.

Most entertaining. I'll try and find some photos for Flickring.

    Tim
