Hi Everyone,

My best friend Samuel has just started cycling across the Canadian Province of Saskatchewan. The trip is 700 km and was supposed to take 5-7 days, but today is the first day and he has already covered over 160 km and it is only 2pm. This is remarkable considering he is riding a garage sale mountain bike and also because he suffers from Liver Disease (caused by Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency). It would be really great if everyone clicked over to his blog and checked out his story. He is not doing it for money or anything like that, he just wants everyone to know what he is doing so he can raise awareness of his Liver Disorder. His blog can be found at www.samuelcarey.blogspot.com.

Thank-you,
PJ

Yesterday, Samuel travelled over 315 km, he is really pushing that old mountain bike to it's limits. If he had a recumbent bike (like he dreams of having) he could go even further! Way to go Samuel! :D

P.S. If anyone wanted to post supportive comments on his blog, that would be great!!! (www.samuelcarey.blogspot.com)

He finished on Monday afternoon. He bicycled over 700 km (705.38 km to be exact) in 3 days. Way to go Samuel!!

Samuel hopes that many more people have now heard of Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Deficiency and the effect that this disorder can have on the liver and the lungs. For more information on Alpha 1, please visit www.Alpha1Canada.com.

Check back to Samuel’s Blog often as over the next week he will be posting pictures and details from his trip. Then he will start preparing for his next adventure, canoeing across the entire province of Saskatchewan. His liver may be rotten, but he’s got a lot of heart!
