Check your bells!

I also disagree with someone pretending to be someone else, because they wanted to rejoin the forum after being kicked off.

melslur, who are you pretending to be??? Why don't you sign your real name? Why should Ed?

Ed was kick off only because Rob Jones complained about what he perceived to be personal attacks on his wife Tracy. Tracy calls herself the "Editoress" of Canadian Canadian cyclist. She makes herself a public figure. Given that, she should expect some criticism

Only two specific comments got Ed banned here, twice.

One was questioning whether Tracy Jones was suffering for PMS given how she arbitrarily deleted posts and entire threads on a whim. The second time was in regard to the Transsexual downhill rider wanting to compete at the Women's World MTB Downhill championship. Ed, like top BC Rider, Danika Schroeder, who wore a t-shirt stating objection to that idea in derogatory terms, disagrees with this overly politically correct approach.

While making light of the situation Ed suggested Rob Jones who does support having the transsexual represent Canada and our women internationally, does so, Ed suggested tongue-in-cheek, that maybe Rob approved of this because his wife Tracy may be a transsexual. Sshe is very tall and bigger that Rob! She is way bigger than your average woman. For a joke to that effect Ed was banned again.

Finally, his message about certain members of the CCA, justified or not, is repetitive. So, when he says something insulting, pretending he is someone else, over and over, I get annoyed.

You may find the comments repetitive but you must be smarter than Bill Kinash and other CCA board members because they just keep repeating the same error and getting same result. Which, by the way defines insanity.

If you get annoyed that’s too bad, you don't have to read his comment on it if you don't like it. Deliver your concerns if you have any in a different manner if you can. If you even understand the issues.

For more than five years the CCA has placed people or allowed others to place them in very key positions in our sport when those people knew nothing about the sport. They fail all the time (Kinash, Braley, Lumsden, Steve Lacelle, Kim Sebrango and now Lorraine Lafreniere, waste golden opportunities and pulled the sport down.

The CCA keeps hiirng them, they keep failing. Talk about repetition!!!

Now in terms of the issue, you can say that the CCA should focus on (fill in the blank). But the time and money spent to say, "have a bell" is minimal. It's not like they used their money (in part from race fees) to go buy bells and give them away. They just said to make sure to have a bell. I don't see the big deal in that.

What you fail to consider is the message having such a silly comment on the top front page of a web site supposedly representing professionalism and excellence make the organization look ridiculous.
