Unfortunately I think that's how most of people in that situation are treated. Hopefully we can all remember to be friends BEFORE we need to eulogize them.

I'm amused how the crude ad-hominums are flying in this group if anyone even remotely suggests any criticism of Pantani in these days after his death. Sure, it makes some sense. The dead are no longer here to defend themselves, so attacks against them are considered unfair. But is this so different than the situation a few days ago? Does anyone even remotely think Pantani was reading this group, able to respond? Indeed, if it was known he was, would those slinging the mud have done so so freely? Hardly.
Many of the attacks which fly here are as cowardly as as anything post-mortum. I really wish people would show more respect for the living, and not be so hypersensitive about the dead.
