  1. Mr Falafel posted a recipe for these a year of two agao,
which I have simplified a little.

1 tin of chick peas (garbanzo beans) drained 1 diced carrot
1 diced onion Oil for frying Flour (Any type. Gluten free
    flour works fine too)

Put the chick peas, carrot and onion in a blender and
process until thoughly mashed. Add a little flour and mix
with your hands until it make a good consistancy to make
burgers. Make burgers :o) Fry until golden brown.

This recipe can be served in a bun as a burger, or can be
shaped into meatballs and served with spaghetti.

When I use chick peas I always have to remove the seed coats
from the outside. I'll go through a whole can and just slip
them off. Otherwise it's pretty disgusting when I try to
    mash them up.

Not when you use a blender or food processor.

I usually take the ones out which I can see when I rinse the
beans off, but apart from that I don't bother. Like Usual
Suspect says, it doesn't seem to matter as much when you are
    blending them.
