i use a schwinn indoor spinner more then my road bike since i work and go to college everyday. I have used spd pedals and decided to switch to speedplay zero pedals. Unfortunately i have had a bad experience with the road pedals just recently and im starting to think which pedal type is better. I do a lot of indoor spinning workouts (out of the saddle, sitted climbing and hard sprint efforts) everyday for about and hour to an hour and a half. MY question is, would spd mountain cleats be better since they are built for mountain biking which has a lot of climbing and sprinting or would road pedals be better. Maybe its personal preference, but any ideas would be appreciated.

I would say to just use the same type that you currently have installed on your shoes. I use Look all the way around, that way I don't have to have more than one pair of shoes.

I've got the same pedals on my road bikes and the spinning bike. It gives you the same feeling and also means shoes are not an issue.

My pedals are Shimano SPD-SL.
