choosing new shifters

you should be ok with a 10sp chain, shifters and cassette. If i recall correctly there is no difference in the rear derailer and the only difference between the older 9sp and newer 10sp rear derailer is that the new ones body is slightly stiffer laterally. But other than that you should be good to go. If your front chainings are worn slap a new set of those on.
