It has however interesting that quite a few teams running SRAM chains have instead switched to Shimano chains because of issues with SRAM chains.

I've used 10-speed chains by SRAM, Shimano, and KMC on Shimano and SRAM drivetrains. Since I don't put out the kind of wattage Fabian Cancellara does, I've never broken one, but I like Shimano best. They just run quieter and shift smoother for me, and seem to last a bit longer.

By the way, Shimano advises against using the new directional chains with triple chainsets.
