If Santa brought me Dura Ace instead of Record I wouldn't believe in him any more!

I'm gutted. Intensive care asked me to work today but unfortunately I was already working on my
normal ward. Could have earned 4 times my normal wage otherwise! 1 ITU shift could have paid for
a new bike!

Oh, sorry, what am I saying, I do it for the love of it: not the money
:)

You're a tougher man than I! I could barely get out of bed this morning, let alone go down the
garage to get the bike out! Hair of the dog later on I think...

Xmas morning family ride - 2 adults + 2 kids on 2 tandems. Disappointingly busy on the roads. We
reckoned it was busier than a typical Sunday morning. It might have been Xmas but the drivers were
just as stressed, bad tempered and miserable as ever. Nontheless it was a mild sunny day here in
deepest Somerset and we had a pleasant trundle through the lanes. Met a gentleman wearing "Hounslow
Wheelers" cycling gear also out for pre-lunch amble. Assured us that he hadn't ridden all the way
from Hounslow, though. Not that day, anyway.

Happy New Year all, and may the sun shine on all your bike rides...

Spooky, I also have a Lightspeed piggy bank which I have promised I will break open when I finish
my degree!
