Here's a question I haven't thought about before.
Is it practical to chrome plate aluminum forks? Matching paint is too expensive not to mention time consuming. I have a weird fork in my Tommasini Fire - Aluminum fork legs and a heavy steel steering tube. Since it rides good I'd like to make it look better instead of getting Tommasini to make me a metal fork for $525. I also have a Fondriest frame that needs a fork and it has far too complex a paint job to duplicate on a fork. I found an aluminum fork but it would need stripping and painting to be used.
What do you know about this?
