Has anyone been able to expand the range of their Hac4 wireless speed pickup in order to use it on
the rear wheel of an indoor trainer? With the pickup on the rear wheel, I am not able to mount it on
the handlebar and still get signal. I have heard that the range can be expanded on the Polar units
and wondered if anyone had tried this on the Hac4. Thanks.

The HAC4 transmitter isn't like the Polar, where you have two different power settings. It needs to
be mounted as close as possible to the receiver; no way that I can imagine to extend its range. Even
the Polar isn't going to transmit very well, if at all, from the rear wheel. The extended-range
option (on the polar) is meant to allow it to work well with larger frame sizes, which result in a
greater distance from xmitter to receiver.
