Hi,

I got "The Complete Book of Long-Distance Cycling" by Burke and Pavelka from the library and was looking at Chapter 8, pp 122-123, sections Training for 50 Miles and Training for 100 Miles. There seem to be some omissions or errors in the regimens. For 50 Miles/Saturday, it says "90 to 120 minutes with one 30-minute interval toward the high side of zone 2." (Zone 2 as defined by MHR on page 9.) But, where is the rest of the time? Low zone 2? Then, for 100 Miles/Saturday, it says "2 to 3 hours....at the higher limit of zone 3 much of the time." I don't see how this could be correct. Ride 2-3 hours at 90-95% MHR???

Any help would be appreciated.
