Is there a white bar tape out there that is coated/made of plastic/teflon/something that stays clean????

Anything white will get dirty. Some material is easier to clean than others.To me, white bar tape is pointless.

The point is it looks good on the LBS showroom floor.
It sells bicycles. Also sells black bartape at a slightly later date.
No big deal really, bicycles have been sold with much more
significantly useless "improvements" over the years.
Style over substance.
