I have a pair of Specialized road shoes. They accomodate SPD and Look cleats. I've had SPD cleats on them and just switched to Look. How do I secure the SPD mounting plate when the shoes are fitted with Look cleats. The plates keep sliding up and down. Thanks.

You can use a couple of small headless set screws such as illustrated here that are available at most hardware stores:
