Clinchers vs Tubulars information sought



I can agree with most of what you just said although I'm not sure where you are getting the idea harder rubber has a lower Crr. Vittoria EVO open CX's, some of the most supple and softest compound tires ever produced are at the top of the list among the fastest rolling clinchers with the lowest Crr, along with Michelin Pro's, and the Specialized open Mondo (which I believe Tony Martin may have used). These are hardly long wearing "touring" tires.

But like you said rely on a racers experience. Going into my 7th season of racing I will do just that.
