First-time user trying to decide which one to start out on. The M505s came with the bike. I've been looking at the Looks (the $90 version) cause they are compatible with a shoe I was thinking of getting.

Do you get more float with the Looks? Would the Looks be considered platform pedals like the Crankbrothers? I've read more sub-average to average things about the M505s for first-timers. Do you think the not-so-good reviews are from cyclists who just take longer getting used to clipless pedals?

Usage-wise they'd be for my road bike. Trying to break some clipless pedals in before Rosarito on the 22nd of April.

Thanks,
Chris

You can get more float with looks by using the correct cleats.

Try to use the search command and you will find that quite a bit of this has been covered ad nauseam... ehm, before. ;)

:) Thanks. I figured that was probably the case. My lazy side was taking control.
