  1. Hi all, being a Mtn Bike newbie,im wondering whats the best type of clipless pedals to use??? Ive been using my bike for offroad fun but also road training.Ive been using the v8 pedals at the momentbut find myself scraping them offroad.
Any opinions would be greatly appreciated.

  2. How do you end up scraping them off-road? If it's because the pedals are too bulky, you might want to look at some of the smaller pedals that are about (Eggbeater, Time ATAC, and those new Shimano SPD ones look pretty small..)

The problem with small pedals and cleats though, are that they can be uncomfortable on long distance rides -- a shoe with a stiffer sole helps a lot with spreading the force over your foot.
